Dragonfly

The Tree Hotel Sweden

Built in 2013, the ‘Dragonfly’ is an eco-friendly tree house in the forest of Northern Sweden.

The 52 sq. meter structure by Rintala Eggertsson Architects weighs 22 tons and accommodates 4 people.

The facade of rusted sheet metal blends in with the surrounding pine trees, making for a seamless experience with nature.

At night, the Dragonfly glows with light.

Large panoramic windows offer views of the nearby Lule Valley and surrounding forest.

Sustainability

The house is built on living trees in a method that doesn't cause damage, and has little environmental impact on nature.

The Dragonfly also utilizes environmentally friendly water and waste solutions.
